How often Box backups run? If the backup settings are changed, can we check that by generating a report?

If I need a report to confirm that backups are running properly, is it possible to create a manual report for backups? Or, would it be possible to use certain API (or create a custom API) to receive such reports?

👋 Hi @makoto, welcome to the Box Community!

Upon uploading content to Box, the files are encrypted and stored in both a primary and backup facility. In the event of any adverse incidents, the files can be seamlessly accessed from either the primary or backup storage facility.

It's important to note that the backup process is closely tied to the upload process. Backups occur automatically at the time of content upload. There is no periodic (e.g., daily) backup process for content.

This backup process is not dependent on specific clients; it is consistently applied to all customer uploads, irrespective of the client used.

For additional inquiries and assistance regarding backup and recovery procedure, I would recommend for you to submit a ticket to our Support Team. 😊

Hello @Jey Bueno Box  Thank you for your reply!

I found that the following page explains automated testing report.  How much it will cost to receive such report?

https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360051089113-GxP-Validation

“Automated compliance, where Box shares an automated testing report with Box GxP customers twice monthly: the second and last Thursday of every month. The report contains results from a comprehensive set of tests of Box functionality, assuring customers that Box is operating “as intended.””

And how can I submit a ticket to receive the estimate?
