How long it takes the application to get authorized?

Hi,

I have created an application (2392115) to read the files from a program. It is in status “Pending Authorization”. How long it takes to get approved?

I’m not sure how to proceed. Could you please confirm whether it is possible to use the API with a free account?
If it isn’t, it would be helpful to make that clear to avoid people wasting their time.

You can find a range of helpful documentation on the Box Developer page, including the API Reference and we also have resources on our Support site. While I have limited information about your specific concern, I’ve gathered a few guides and related topics that may be useful.


Please note that the app must be authorized by an admin within the Box Enterprise where it was created. The Box admin should have received an email with the authorization request. You may need to follow up with them directly to complete this process.


If the admin is not seeing the Authorization tab, it is likely that your Box account is on the free or basic tier. These account types only support app creation via OAuth and do not support certain admin features.

Hello,

 

I’ve submitted an app for approval on the 4th of February, it is now the 9th and the app is still ‘Pending Authorization’. How could this approval be sped up?

Hello,
I can’t seem to find the contact of the BOX Admin. It’s been 5 days and this process is bottlenecking development. Could you please provide me the contact or an email where I can chase this request?

For security reasons, we are unable to disclose account‑specific information such as the email address of the primary admin. However, you can find your Admin Contact by logging into your Box account, clicking your initials in the top‑right corner, selecting Account Settings, and under the Account tab, scrolling to the bottom of the page.


Please inform your Admin to approve the app authorization request for access to your enterprise.
