Working together

I signed up for box.com because I thought I would be sharing all my data with my team. One team member has uploaded a lot of data but apparently it is not visible by everyone.  We need to all have access to the same data as different departments should be able to post files and then share between themselves. This is a key reason I purchased and have setup multiple users on my plan. How do I solve this and get my team back to work?

I am on the business plan.

Thanks in advance,

Hi @JO315, thank you for posting your inquiry.

Once a folder or file is uploaded to Box, the owner must invite other users as collaborators to grant them access to view or upload content as needed. When you add someone as a collaborator to a file or folder, the item appears in their Files page. See Inviting Collaborators to learn more.

Currently, Box does not offer a feature that automatically shares uploaded folders or files with all users.

Additionally, when inviting someone as a collaborator within a folder, the owner can set the level of access that person has to the Box content. For more details, please refer to the article Understanding Collaborator Permission Levels.

If you have any other questions regarding collaboration, please let us know.
