Transfer Ownership of Users

Hello,

Somehow, our organization set up two admin accounts. One of these admins owns some of our end users, and the other admin account owns the other end users.

How can I transfer ownership of users from one administrator account to a different administrator  so that only one admin owns all users?

👋 Hi @fred dangelo, welcome to the Box Community! I’d be glad to address your concern.

If you currently have two Box accounts but only need one, you may want to consider merging the users from the secondary account into your main enterprise. This approach ensures that all users are consolidated under a single Box account, managed by the primary admin.

If the secondary account has only a few users and minimal content, we can review whether dismantling that account is the best option. In this case, users tied to the secondary account would be downgraded to Free Individual accounts, allowing the primary admin to invite them to join the main account.

Since this process involves downgrading, please reach out to our Cancellations team at cancel@box.com. They will review your eligibility in accordance with Box Terms. Be sure to use the admin email associated with the account you need assistance with for verification.

Thank you, and please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
