is it possible to see who the creator of a shared link was? And if possible, how can I see this for a specific folder/file?

At the moment, running a User Activity Report is the only way to identify users who have created shared links. Admins and co-admins with the necessary permissions can use this report to verify the creators of shared links.


Kindly follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Admin Console

  2. Select Reports

  3. Choose User Activity Report

  4. Set the time range

  5. Under Action Types, select Shared Links

  6. Tick the box for Item Shared

  7. Click View to check the initial report, or Run to view the full report
