Managing enterprise seats

I'm trying to add people to my enterprise account, but it's telling me all three seats are already in use. When I check the user list—both internal and external—no one is actually listed. I also keep getting errors when trying to invite users manually, or I'm prompted to pay for additional seats even though there shouldn’t be anyone occupying the existing ones.

👋 Hi @bwill, welcome to the Box Community! I’d be glad to assist you regarding seats.

For Starter or Business accounts, each collaborator requires a license to maintain the two-way relationship. Currently, your 2 collaborators are occupying seats, bringing the total to 3 of 3.

For reference, a collaborator is an individual who has been invited to a file or folder. Depending on their access level, collaborators can view, edit, upload/download documents, leverage collaboration tools (comments, tasks, etc.), and more.

If you don’t need to collaborate with others, you can Remove Collaborators and instead use the Shared Links feature. Unlike collaboration, individuals accessing your content through a shared link have “read-only” access and won’t be able to make changes to your files.

If you have any other concerns, please let us know. 😊
