Hello.

There have been employees changes in our organization and now we don’t know which email/accont has the Admin role for adding or deletin accounts in our Box.

How can we find the Admin accounts and re-assingn them?

Thank you.

👋 Hi @jdavalos, welcome to the Box Community! I’d be glad to assist.

If you’re logged in to your Box enterprise, you can find your primary admin by clicking your initials in the top-right corner, selecting Account Settings, and scrolling to the bottom of the Account tab.

If you need to transfer primary admin privileges, please check this thread for guidelines:

Admins and co-admins with the right permissions can manage users in the Admin Console. To review co-admins and their permissions, I suggest the admin to run a User Details Report. He can then update permissions by following the steps in Granting And Modifying Co-Admin Permissions article.

For more details, see Understanding Administrator and Co-Administrator Permissions.

Please let us know if you have any other concerns.

Thank you, Jey.

I think something is wrong. It shows that my account in Individual, but I’m sure it belongs to my Enterprise with Admin accounts. How can I fix that?

Hello @jdavalos, thanks for your response.

If you signed up for Box as an individual user and it was not created under your company enterprise, your account is considered unmanaged, which means it is not part of your company’s Box enterprise even if it uses the same email domain.

It’s also possible that you are accessing content as a collaborator on files shared with you by your admin or other users.

I recommend reaching out to your IT team or someone at your organization who has access to Box enterprise to confirm who the primary admin is. The admin can also invite you to join the enterprise as a managed user as needed. For admin change and granting co-admin permissions, please refer to my first response.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions.
