To keep the account secure and provide full control, we highly suggest that the admin cancel the account online. Kindly refer to the support article on how to cancel:
Canceling a Business or Enterprise Account
To see the cancellation option online, please ensure the admin is logged in through a browser.
Once the account is successfully canceled, the account owner or administrator will receive a confirmation email. If no notice is received, or if the administrator is unavailable, please reach out to cancel@box.com to confirm the cancellation, as there is a risk that the account may not be properly canceled.
As per our retention and deletion policy, the deletion will not happen immediately; please allow time for the system to process the request. Additionally, you will no longer receive account updates after cancellation. However, if you have subscribed to marketing emails and continue receiving them, you can click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email to opt out. If unable to unsubscribe from distribution list, please submit a support ticket so we can forward the request to Privacy Team.
