Hi @webservices-RSI, welcome to the Box Community! I’d be glad to assist.

To delete or remove a co-admin in Box, follow these steps:

Option 1: Completely Delete the User Account

If the co-admin is leaving the organization and you need to delete their account entirely:

  1. Log in to Box and go to Admin Console > Users & Groups.
  2. Click the Managed Users tab.
  3. Click on the co-admin's name.
  4. Click Delete User.
  5. If the user owns content, choose whether to transfer their content to another user, delete their content, or set their account to inactive.
  6. Click Continue, select whether to notify the user, and click Delete User to confirm.

🔔 Note: This requires the Primary Admin account or a co-admin with the "Manage users" permission enabled).

Option 2: Remove Co-Admin Privileges (Change Role to Standard User)

If you only want to remove their admin access while keeping their Box user account active:

  1. Go to Admin Console > Users & Groups.
  2. In the Managed Users tab, click the name of the co-admin.
  3. Navigate to the Role and Access Permissions section and click Edit.
  4. Change their role from Co-Admin to Member (or clear their assigned co-admin permissions).
  5. Click Save.

Thanks, and please feel free to reach out if you have any other concerns.
