Change primary email address

Hi! I need to change my primary email address to a new domain and delete an old account associated with that email.
Please create a support ticket and have someone contact me.

Dear Helphul members,
I hope this message finds you well.
I signed up for a contract today, but I made two mistakes. Could you please advise me on how to correct them?
- How to change the administrator account email address.
- How to change the payment plan from annual to monthly.

👋 Hi ​@emmedibbi, welcome to the Box Community! I’d be glad to assist you with changing your primary email.

 

If your new domain is not yet claimed, you’ll first need to verify it by following the guide here: Domain Management, Verification, and Auto Enrollment.


Once claimed, you can change your primary email address by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your account
  2. Click your Profile Icon and select Account Settings
  3. Under the Account tab, scroll down to Login and Email Addresses
  4. Click Link email address and enter the new active email address
  5. A confirmation email will be sent to the newly added email; you must confirm it
  6. Return to the same settings and scroll down to Login and Email Addresses
  7. You will now see two email addresses:
    • Primary
    • Secondary
  8. Set the secondary email as the primary and Save the changes

For changing the primary admin email, please refer to the guideline above regarding domain verification and updating the email address.


As for switching your billing frequency from annual to monthly, our Billing Team will review your request and provide further assistance. I see you’ve already submitted a ticket for this matter, so in the meantime, please keep an eye out for a follow-up email from our Billing Support team.
