Question

Box Enterprise data automatically stored in FedRAMP Mod storage?

Hi,

If we use Box Enterprise accounts then the data is stored within a FedRAMP Moderate authorized environment? Or do we need to request this through support? According to the Box site the normal Enterprise is FedRAMP moderate authorized. I have not been able to confirm this in the admin section of our Enterprise account.

Does somebody know this?

Thanks!

Welcome to the Box Community! @TheKingNL2020 previously submitted a ticket on this, which our support team has already addressed. Thank you for that!

@Box_User_01, for reference:

As per the Compliance team:

Box is FedRAMP High compliant through the Agency Authorization Route with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) from DoD as the Agency Sponsor.

FedRAMP High is available to Box customers on Enterprise Plus and Enterprise Advanced plans.

The link below to the FedRAMP.gov Marketplace shows our current authorization status and demonstrates our compliance with FedRAMP.

Hi, the community manager response refers to FedRAMP High. The original question has not yet been answered:

“If we use Box Enterprise accounts then the data is stored within a FedRAMP Moderate authorized environment? Or do we need to request this through support? “

Thanks!

Hi @ch234, welcome to the Box Community! Here’s what was shared internally:

Box’s Enterprise plan is FedRAMP Authorized at the Moderate level. To have this enabled for your organization, you’ll need to be on the proper Box Enterprise plan and work with your Box account team to have FedRAMP provisions applied.

Your account team can review your current plan and help ensure your instance is configured for FedRAMP compliance.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please submit a ticket to our Support team. Thank you!

How are you supposed to submit a ticket for this problem when every link to submit a ticket redirects us back to the community portal?  We need to get FedRAMP Moderate enabled on our instance, but there is no way to request this.

👋 Hi @john.echeveste.aimdyn, welcome to the Box Community!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. If your paid-plan support channels aren’t fully visible when you sign in to the Support page, please submit a request using this ticket form to get FedRAMP Moderate enabled.

You can also let our Support team know about the visibility issue so they can verify and correct your account channels for the future.

Thanks again, and we look forward to getting this resolved for you soon!
