We’re excited to share new enhancements to Box Sign for Salesforce that make signing workflows more flexible, secure, and scalable directly within Salesforce.
Here’s what’s new:
-
Recipient Groups let you send a signature request to a group and move the workflow forward as soon as one person from the group signs or approves.
-
Recipient Authentication in Salesforce now supports CAC/PIV smart card authentication, SMS authentication, and Box Login, giving senders more control over signer identity verification.
-
API support for CAC/PIV authentication allows developers to programmatically require smart card verification using the Box Sign API.
Why this matters:
These enhancements help teams improve document workflow efficiency in Salesforce while strengthening security, compliance, and flexibility for a wider range of use cases.
A quick note:
CAC/PIV smart card authentication requires the CAC/PIV authentication add-on, and API support is available for enterprises with the add-on and the necessary permissions enabled.
