Unable to open excel file

Have some issue today on the excel online and to open or download excel documents. Required assistance.

If I remove the password for the excel document then I am able to open the documents using the iphone and ipad

Can you provide more detail?  What do you mean you cannot open it or cannot download.  In Box, when you click the Excel file, what happens?

When is this going to be fixed? I have to use Dropbox which doesn’t have the problem. Makes Box pretty useless

The doc attempts to open then just a spinning circle. When I then ask excel to open, I get a message that the file has a problem (it doesn’t). I say to retry Zander nothing happens. In the meantime, Box is just spinning around. Prior versions were no problem.

But hopefully with the additional you provided other community members may be able to assist. To isolate the issue further, can you let us know if:

1) Is this the only file you are having trouble with, or are you able to open other files for editing?

2) When did the issue start occurring? Did anything change that you know of right before the issue started?

3) Are you opening the file from within Box Sync, Box Drive, or within the Box web site?
