Use C# to download files from Box.net link

Hello, 

 

I am attempting to use C# to download files stored in a different user's account on box.net. 

 

I figured out how to access files uploaded to my account in c#, but am unable to access files stored in another account, shared to me via a link. 

 

Would that user have to create an application within their Box.net developer console and make my account a collaborator?

  Hello, 

   

  Thanks so much for using our Platform and Developer Forum! 

   

  You will need to have the owner add you as a collaborator on the content (with a high enough permission level to be able to download) instead of using a shared link. The owner will not need to create the application in their own dev console for you to be able to do this.
