Upload progress for Box Widget
I'm reasking a question from this request from 2015 that has not been addressed yet : https://community.box.com/t5/Archive-Forum/Progress-bar-while-file-upload/m-p/3146#M1527
Is there any hope for an upload progress bar to be displayed for the Box Widget? If not, are there any other solutions I could implement to track how much of the file has been uploaded and display that to the user? We're accepting files around ~2GB in size, and it takes a half hour or longer for it to upload, with no indication that the file is progressing. The widget appears frozen until the upload is complete, so there's no way to tell how close it is.

Hi ,
No, unfortunately there is no progress bar functionality that has been built into the embed upload widget (assuming that you're using this one: https://community.box.com/t5/Sharing-Content-with-Box/Using-File-Request/ta-p/29008).
The main method that folks would use to build out their own progress bar functionality would be to use the direct chunked upload APIs, rather than the widget. This will allow you to chunk up a large file, then upload the parts one piece at a time. Once a part is uploaded you would update the progress bar with the amount of progress based on the number of parts left to upload.
