Rename Directory via FTP

Greetings: We have been using ftp successfully for a while to integrate our FileMaker front end database to box.com.

We've run into a problem when we want to re-name a project directory (with conents) to conform to new naming standards. Please, what is the ftp command format we should use for chaning the name of a diretory (or perhaps moving a directory to the same location with a new name)?
