Issue in file deletion of current version? It asks promotion of previous version as current, why?
I have a file "TestFile" with 2 versions.
example : TestFile - V1
TestFile - V2 (Current Version)
Version 2 is current version and if i want to delete the version 2, i have to promote previous version as current version, when i do this with JAVA-SDK, a new version V3 with new version id is created.
Now i have : TestFile - V3 (Current Version)
TestFile - V2 (Removed)
TestFile - V1
Here V1 and V3 contains same data with different version Id, Is there any Specific reason for the creation of new version V3?
Why it is not possible to make V1 directly as current version? Why it creates a new version of same file?

Hi arunk-vg,
while it seems to be complicated to do it this way, it preserves your undo history. Suppose you choose to undelete V2, and then choose to undo its changes. They would be lost.
This way, your changes are preserved, because V2 now still has a history in V1.
Does this make sense?
