I am a collaborator, can I upload files to the collaboration folder using the API?

If this possible do you have any information on how to authenticate using python for this scenario?  I successfully tested my process with a dev account that could upload and add new version but I need to apply the python script that automates uploads to a scenario where I am strictly an uploader-collaborator on someone else's enterprise account.

Does the enterprise need to provide me any data so I can authenticate?

What authentication method makes the most sense for me as a collaborator  (OAuth or JWT) ?  My dev test used a dev token with OAuth.
