How do I get a fileId using its name?

After creating a new files on my drive I want an API to get a "fileId" by only knowing its name. I have used the Search API but it didn't help me because it takes sometime after the creation to get a response which is not efficient for me.

  Hi ,

   

  Unfortunately at the moment the search endpoint is the only method that I can think of to return a file by searching for its name, instead of the ID. The typical time for a newly uploaded file to be indexed for search is approximately 10min, so there is a gap there.
