Any way to have 100% client-side sdk like Google Drive has ?
Hi,
I’m building a SaaS workflow solution that will integrate virtual drives like Box...
Integrating Google Drive took me around 10 minutes using their pre-built login button and upload control. Their login button logs you in, and that’s it, you are ready to use their drag’n drop upload control. No extra-step. 10 minutes.
On the opposite, I’ve already spent a fair amount of time to figure out how to use your client-side Upload control (part of the Box UI Elements). I could only make it work with a Developer Token.
Now, reading the docs more carefully, it now appears to me that there is no way to use the Box UI Elements without using ALSO a back-end that will request for a token. Am I missing something?
My questions:
1) if the Box token is passed to my back-end, how am I supposed to use this token into your Upload control (Box UI Element), which is front-end, and has no clue about what’s happening in the back-end?
I mean, what’s the best practice to reinject the back-end token into your front-end UI Element?
2) Is there a way to keep things super simple and 100% client-side like Google Drive does:
1 - Login button displayed (or hidden if it detects we are already logged in)
2 - Use the Upload control !
Regards.
