Enabling Box Drive for Your Users

Box Drive should be enabled by default in your admin console.  However, if you have chosen to disable published applications, you must re-enable Box Drive manually via the individual application controls.  To do this:


  1. From your Admin Console, in the lefthand navigation click Enterprise Settings.
  2. Click the Apps tab.
  3. In the Official Box Applications section, check Official Box Applications
  4. In the list of categories of Box applications that displays.  Click the Box Desktop Applications down arrow.  The list of Box desktop applications displays.
  5. Clear the Disable Box Drive check box.

Note   Clearing the Disable apps by default box enables Box Drive along with all other published applications.


You can also manually enable Box Drive without enabling other published apps.  To do this: 

  1. From your Admin Console, in the lefthand navigation click Enterprise Settings.
  2. Click the Apps tab.
  3. Scroll down to the Individual Application Controls section.  In the search box type Box Drive and initiate the search.
  4. To the right of the listing for Box Drive, click Available (or verify that Available is selected).

Box Drive is now enabled for everyone.  To disable it again, click Disable.
