Box suggestion: All Files to distinguish shared vs owned files

I have a Box suggestion (unless there's already a solution to this).  In "All Files," can there be a section that separates files/folders that belong in your account vs other people's files/folders shared with you?

Hi @gordio283,

Thank you for your post, that's a really interesting idea!

We don't currently have that feature as of now but the Box Community team shares selected conversations with the community back to other Box teams from time to time, including product feedback. However, if you'd like to provide direct feedback you can always submit a case to Box support.

Thanks for your help and time in the Community!

@gordio283Here is a work-around that some folks here use.

--Create a new folder "Content that I Own"

--Move all folders and individual files which you own into this folder

Now on your "All Files" page, you'll know that everything you see, other than this folder, are things that have been shared with you.

A couple variations on this

--you could favorite that folder

--you could name it "1_Content that I Own" so it shows at the top of alpha-sorted lists

Other folks may have different ways of doing this.

Re: Box suggestion: All Files to distinguish shared vs owned files

That's a good suggestion!  I think I suggested coworkers to do the same thing.

So I'm the box admin at my work.  One of the more common questions coworkers ask is "How do I create my own folders?"  I think having it labeled clearly "my stuff" and "other people's stuff", it'll be easier for people to figure this out on their own.  A lot of my coworkers think "All Files" only show shared files.

For reference, google drive has a column "owner".  I find this very useful.
