Windows 10 upgrade causing Box Sync folder to be recreated

After the upgrade of Windows 10 from 1607 to 1703, Box Sync complains that the Box Sync folder already exists. Our technicians have to go in and rename the Box Sync folder and have it re-download from Box. Is there a trick to not having to do this when doing a Windows 10 version upgrade?

Hello @dd456,

Thank you for writing in.

Unfortunately there is no known way to trick the Windows OS into keeping the original Box Sync Folder.

You will need to do as your IT team has been doing and re-create the Box Sync Folder.

I apologize for the inconvenience.
