I am not able to open my files

Hello,

I have not been able to oepn my files, specifically Excel. everytime I try to open a file it gives me two opetions. ti either open with the program (Word or Excel) or the online version. however when I click on the regular program there is a red window that pops up that says Box edit does not support this file type.  I am not sure why I am not able to open and edit the documets. can  you please help.
