The previewer works just fine, but when you try to open the file online, the Excel Online option is greyed out. This is only affecting Excel files, small files too (just 10Kb). Excel desktop works fine but we need the online version and it used to work perfectly fine before today. Thoughts?

Can you verify the file format and the browser (and version) being used?
Are all users having this issue or just select users?
With the information given I would want to try some thing.
Verify this happens in a remote location (not on a company computer)
If the error still happens on a different network, with a non-company computer have IT check the tenant and verify there isn't an issue.
If it does not still happen it may be that IT changed a configuration either on the network or policy that may be impacting your Box experience.
I have exactly the same problem and cannot modify Excel files.
The thing is, I don't find the "Hide collaborators" option, so I'm not sure if it's activated or not.
Could you tell me where it is?
(When I click on "Collaborators" on the left, I get a list of collaborators, but I don't see the option to turn it on or off.)

Owners and Co-Owners of folders have the ability to "hide collaborators".

However, I check with my client and I cannot modify this option.
However, I'm pretty sure the problem doesn't come from this as everything worked fine until a few days ago (and the collaborators were already hidden for a very long time).
Would you have any other idea to resolve this problem?
