We are looking to increase our security by requiring 2FA for all accounts accessing our Box, but we are running into the problem that we have a couple of key users who either aren't into texting or don't have a mobile phone period! Do we have an option to receive codes via email?
It may sound odd to have a key user who is comfortable with accessing documents via cloud storage on a laptop but doesn't own a mobile phone, but here we are.
Thanks to anyone who can offer insight on this.
Thanks for your post!
Unfortunately, 2 factor login is only possible with text message, so email is not possible at the moment.
This can be a product feature request that I can file (we are exploring other authentication methods through 3rd party apps), but for now that's not possible.
Hope that helps clarify your question!
Thanks for answering the question. Disappointing, but I appreciate the clarity. Please do make a feature request for 2FA via one-time code via email. This would be useful to a crowd that is familiar with email but perhaps less likely to use texting or soft tokens/hardware tokens.
