Version 3.51 of Box for Salesforce includes the following new features: 
  • Lightning compatibility: Access the Box Files element within Salesforce records when Lightning is enabled
  • Improved Box Files interface: A redesigned, more intuitive and upgraded UI for the Box Files element
  • Box for Salesforce Developer Toolkit enhancements: Including a new generic toolkit method that allows developers to call any available public Box API from directly within Salesforce. Now developers have the ability to call any new endpoints Box introduces without having to build out any more functionality.

We are excited to announce that a new and improved Box for Oracle NetSuite integration is now available. This latest version of the integration was built with customer feedback in mind and includes several key additions to improve admin configurations and enhance overall usability.
What's new?
Box for Oracle NetSuite allows users to securely store, access and collaborate on critical documents in Box without having to leave NetSuite. The July 2018 upgrade adds the following new features:
  • Nested Box folder structure by NetSuite record types: Organize files according to record type for optimal content management
  • Box folder association with NetSuite record types: Select existing or new Box folders to link to NetSuite records for improved user navigation
  • Custom naming of Box folders created from NetSuite: Name folders according to your organization's conventions for more consistency
  • Custom mapping of Box permissions to NetSuite permission types: Ensure the right files are accessible by the right users with more granular permissions 
How do I upgrade to the new version?
The new Box for Oracle NetSuite SuiteApp bundle is available beginning today. For full instructions on both the upgrade and configuration process, visit the Box Community Site.


Box now integrates with iWork, enabling users to preview and collaborate on Keynote, Pages and Numbers files from within Box. Now users can co-author files in real-time, preview, create, and edit iWork documents in Box all while securely saving their changes back to Box. This integration must be turned on for your organization from the Admin Console: Settings > Apps. To enable collaborative editing, select "iWork Collaboration." To enable Box preview of iWork documents in browser, select "iWork Previews."


Note - Multiple update paths: 
During auto-update, Box for Office will first be updated to Version 4.1.1212. If your machine is running .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher, Box for Office will be updated to Version 4.2.1220. If not, you will remain on Box for Office Version 4.1.1212, which is compatible with .NET 4.0.

All future Box for Office releases will have two sets of builds (4.1.x for users running a .NET framework below 4.5.2 and 4.2.x for .NET framework 4.5.2 or higher). Users will be automatically be updated to the appropriate version based on the .NET framework installed on their machines.
