Cancelling your Box Account

How do I cancel my Box.com Business or Enterprise subscription if I've signed a contract with Box?

If you have a signed contract, you will be held to the terms outlined in the agreement, regardless of billing frequency. Box does not grant mid-term concessions which include: seat decreases, account downgrades or cancellations.
 
Box requires a 30 day notice for intent to cancel on all contracted accounts. Questions? Email cancel@box.com.

 

How do I cancel my Box.com Business or Enterprise subscription if I've signed up for my account online?

To ensure that your cancellation is addressed immediately please follow the below process. Note that any cancellation requests made through other channels may be missed (and you may continued to get billed). Only an Administrator can cancel an account on-line. Your account will be canceled at the end of your billing period. You and your users will have access to your account until that date. 

 

  1. Sign into your Box.com account as the Administrator.
  2. Visit: www.box.com/billing or go to your Business Settings page from the Admin Console.
  3. From here, click on "Cancel Your Account."

  4. You'll see a modal that helps troubleshoot some of the most common problems with Box admins. If you would like to continue with the cancellation, click "Cancel My Account".Screen Shot 2017-05-08 at 10.22.44 PM.png
  5. You'll arrive on the Cancellation page where you will answer two questions and then complete the cancellation process.

  6. Then just make sure to check the box and then you have successfully canceled your account. Again make sure to note, your account cancellation will be the date of the end of your billing cycle noted throughout the cancellation process.Screen Shot 2017-05-08 at 10.23.30 PM.png

 

To ensure that you are able to cancel your account and subscription before any renewal dates, please notify our support team as soon as you wish to cancel because there may be delays in response time at cancel@box.com. Box requires a 30 day notice for intent to cancel.
