How to rollover configuration/settings/folder taxonomy from non prod to prod environment?


Hi All,


We are looking for an best practice to rollover configuration/settings/folder taxonomy from non prod i.e DEV/Test/UAT to prod environment? Any lead or help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for posting on our forum! Unfortunately, Box doesn’t have any built in non prod/sandbox migration options. We do offer sandboxes, and in fact, we highly recommend folks use them for developing. However, they are essentially a totally silo’d instance not connected to the parent Box instance.


I will say that Sandboxes and migration options are something the product team is eyeing for potential enhancements. In the meantime, you might check Box Pulse and upvote or add that idea.

@smartoneinok Thanks for the update. But while browsing through pricing for different plans, i have seen test environments as one of the feature in Box business plan. What is the use of that environment?
